This document will walk you through the necessary steps to reinstall Disco. NOTE: this will allow you to regain access to the Disco platform and will not set you live. For those instructions, please check out some of our help center documents.
Step 1: Redownload Disco in the Shopify App Store
- This step (and later going live) will require you to have Shopify Admin access)
Step 2: Do you remember your account credentials?
- If the answer is yes, please follow the steps below.
- If the answer is no, please reach out to your CSM or our support team using the chat widget in the bottom right corner of your screen. We will need to either create a new account for you or send you a password reset email.
Step 3: Access the Disco platform through the Disco app in your Shopify Admin page
- Clicking on the Disco app will take you to your brand-specific "Let's Get Started" page.
- Note your URL in the address bar, which should look something similar to: https://platform.disconetwork.com/register?code=f136356cc9cbcd21ab2251c710e1cbc6&hmac=21bcf07c01684b2054a6d46e589fcfd9295b426fe02f9987a9e2fb8c7fcde901&host=YWRtaW4uc2hvcGlmeS5jb20vc3RvcmUvZGlzY28ta2E&shop=disco-ka.myshopify.com×tamp=1700167509
- Confirm here that your Shopify store link is correct (like the highlighted section of the URL).
Step 4: Modify the URL by adding an extra parameter
- At the end of the URL, add the extra query parameter &existing=true and enter the new URL (pressing enter on the address bar in the browser). Using the previous example, the new URL would look similar to:

You will be redirected to the "Let's Get Started" page, which should look a bit different. You can now re-enter the following credentials and select "Agree to terms":
- Full Name
- Brand Name
- Website URL: should be auto-populated from Shopify
Step 5: Linking to your previous account
- Once you "Create an Account", you will receive an error message that you already have an account with these credentials. This is expected. You will be given an option to link the accounts together. Approve this change and your account will be reregistered, redirecting you to our onboarding page.
Step 6: Last step before regaining access!
- At the new "Let's Get Started" page, you should find that the shop description is auto-populated from the previous time Disco was installed. You may be given the option to edit or upload a new brand logo. Upon doing so, you can click "Next" and will be redirected to the Disco dashboard.
