If you're a Shopify advertiser, your Products tab controls which of your products appear in the Gallery and Featured Product formats. (Not on Shopify? Your offer renders in the Text + Logo format, which doesn't use product images — so you can skip this.)
Choose your products
Select your top four products, best first. Your first product may be featured on its own, and the Gallery format pulls from this list in the order you set.
Your products live under Products in the left-hand nav. The Products tab lists everything synced from Shopify — use Sync to pull the latest from your store, or Add Product for anything manual.
The Product ordering tab is where you drag your top four into the order they should appear.
Make your products work harder
You can edit a product's title, image, price, and landing page from the Products tab — click the edit (pencil) icon on any product. Two things to know about syncing: your Disco edits don't sync back to your shop, and a Shopify re-sync overwrites your Disco edits — so re-apply any customizations after a sync.
Titles — short, sweet, and literal wins. Lead with your value prop and product specialty within the 40-character limit (selling 0g-sugar candy? say so in the title).
Images — lifestyle shots and colorful backgrounds outperform white-background product shots. Repurpose your best-performing creatives from other channels. One image per product — no supplementary images. Specs: 1:1 square, under 5MB; PNG, JPEG, or GIF.
GIFs — one GIF can demonstrate your product well, but don't use more than two across your set: too much movement distracts shoppers from your offer.
Product changes go through a verification process against Disco's brand guidelines before they show.
Add products manually
Usually unnecessary — your catalog syncs from Shopify — but manual adds (the Add Product button) are useful when:
- You sell a single SKU — add a few versions of the same product with different creatives and titles to test what performs.
- Your catalog isn't pulling through correctly.
- You want to feature the same product more than once.
Each manual product needs a name, a 1:1 image, a price, and a landing page URL.
How your products show up
The format that renders is decided by the publisher's surface, not by you — so ordering your products best-first means your strongest product leads wherever products appear.
- Gallery — your selected products appear together, auto-pulled from your Products tab in the order you set.
- Featured Product — your first product is auto-pulled as the featured image.
- Text + Logo — no products; your logo carries the creative. (On some placements, your offer may appear without your logo.)
Where your products come from
Products are drawn from your synced Shopify catalog. The Products tab is where you pick your top four and set their order.
