Detailed Instructions
1. Confirm your advertising setup with us
As an advertiser on Disco, you'll be advertising your brand with an offer in the hero slot of our DiscoFeed. This step will focus on submitting all of the materials we need before integration.
- Set your bid range here
-
Offer details: We need 6 key pieces of information to create the best offer, which can be submitted via this form.
- Logo image or Product image (500x500 px)
- Header text (50 character limit)
- Body text (175 character limit)
- CTA button text (25 character limit)
- Landing page URL
- A short description of your brand (55 character limit)
- Once these steps are completed, Disco will pass along a preview of your ad unit (like the image below) within 48 hours.
2. Implement conversion tracking
After confirming your advertising setup, it's time to setup conversion tracking to get real time updates on advertising performance in your tracking system and in Disco's dashboard. NOTE: if you are on a CPC pricing model, we do not currently have reporting capabilities built into the Disco dashboard, so you will receive custom reporting.
There are 3 major ways in which you can pass back conversions to Disco:
- Adding our WebSDK snippet to your pages and populate and pass back relevant data attributes.
- Create a payload to send to Disco via API when a conversion occurs.
- Implementing our WebSDK via Google Tag Manager by adding data layer code to your order confirmation page.
Please see our developer docs more more detail.
As a reminder, Disco uses many contextual signals to train our ML algorithms and further improve the shopping experience
3. Complete a test transaction
Once steps 1 and 2 are fully completed, we will pass along a unique link for you to make a test purchase. Upon making a test purchase, we should see the conversion event populate in 3-4 hours, after which you will be ready to go live!
4. Set up payments
The default for invoicing with Disco is through Stripe. If you use another billing platform internally, please let us know!
Note - if you are on CPC, you will be invoiced separately via email for any Disco-driven clicks (and will be invoiced separately via email for any conversions for those using a CPA/CPO model). Learn more about Disco Billing.
What to Expect After Setup
This whole process should take 48-72 hours to complete. The first few weeks on Disco will be a ramping period for our machine learning algorithm and it could take 1-3 months for it to be fully optimized.
In the meantime, join the Disco Slack Community and introduce yourself to make connections with fellow marketers using Disco.
