Disco is able to support TripleWhale UTMs. You can find more about tracking non-integrated sources in TripleWhale's help center article about recommended UTMs for Triple Pixel.
Setting up UTM parameters in Disco
To set up TripleWhale tracking in your Disco account, follow the steps below:
1. Login to your Disco account.
2. Navigate to DiscoFeed > Products.
3. Click into UTM Settings in the upper right corner of your products tab.
4. Set up Paid UTMs and, if you're using the upsell row, Upsell UTMs. You do not need to set-up cross-sell UTMs. All cross-sell conversions are captured in Paid UTMs.
Paid UTMs:
utm_source = disco
utm_campaign= cross-sell
Upsell UTMs:
utm_source = disco
utm_campaign= upsell
5. Click "save" before exiting.
TripleWhale vs. Disco reporting
If you notice discrepancies in Disco's in-platform reporting and TW's reporting, that is expected and normal! These discrepancies could be caused for a few reasons:
- Attribution methodology: Disco is single touch while TW uses fractional credit or linear models.
