How you add DiscoOffers depends on whether your store is on Shopify Checkout Extensibility — most Shopify stores have been upgraded. This guide covers the Checkout Extensibility path: installing the Disco widget (the Disco app block) on your Thank You and Order Status pages, no code required.

What is Checkout Extensibility?
Checkout Extensibility is Shopify's set of features for making code-free customizations to your checkout, Thank You, and Order Status pages. It replaces the older checkout.liquid method, and you can upgrade pages selectively.
DiscoOffers displays on your Thank You and Order Status pages — not on the checkout pages — so this guide applies once you've upgraded those two pages.
Install the Disco widget
- Confirm DiscoOffers is published — no action needed: the Publish DiscoOffers on my store toggle (in Settings → Brand Profile) switches on automatically once your onboarding is complete, and the banner confirms when DiscoOffers is live. - Open your checkout editor — In your Shopify admin, open your store configuration and click Customize (Settings → Checkout).
- Select the Thank You page from the dropdown at the top.
- Add the app block — Click Add block where you want the widget and search for Disco. Under Disco Post Purchase Ads, choose the block named DiscoFeed. (Ignore the Prepurchase TYP block unless your Disco team has set you up for pre-purchase.)
- Check the placement and save — the block drops into the recommended spot and renders sample offers right in the editor. Click through them to sanity-check the fit for your brand, then Save.
- Repeat for the Order Status page — same steps: Add block → DiscoFeed → position it (for example, below the order tracking info) → Save.
Where to place the widget
DiscoOffers is placed in the recommended spot automatically, but you can reposition it by dragging it in the left-side navigation. For best results:
- Higher is better — the higher the widget sits on the page, the higher your yield. Place it as high as makes sense for your brand.
- Place it just beneath your post-purchase survey if you use one, or as high as possible within the Order details section.
- Don't place it on the right-hand side under Order summary — it won't render properly on mobile.
