Data Sourcing
By joining the Disco Network, brands gain access and contribute to a collective pool of customer data that empowers brands to acquire net-new customers. Disco Audiences are generated based on the collective intelligence of first-party data from brands across the Disco Network. This data is accessed through a brand’s e-commerce platform API (read more about our current integrations here).
Data Privacy
To protect the privacy of brands and customers, data received by Disco from brand order histories goes into an anonymized pool that powers our Disco Audiences; no PII is ever shared between brands by Disco and customer data remains secure.
Audiences requested by brands from Disco for use on a third-party advertising platform, such as Facebook, are encrypted before they are transferred. The Disco Audiences ported to your Ad Account Manager are transferred securely and cannot be downloaded from Facebook. Customer data transferred from Disco to Facebook is used to match their customer profiles, and then deleted by Facebook.
Disco cannot provide legal advice and as such, we recommend working with legal counsel on an appropriate Privacy Policy to ensure that it is current and properly accounts for this type of use case. We’ve also provided some sample legalese to reference or share with your lawyer to get the conversations started. You can access sample legalese here.
