Initial Steps Walkthrough
First, log in to your Disco account and go to the Audiences tab. Select the “Connect Meta” button account under Integrations and then “Connect Meta” again in the Terms and Conditions popup.
Click on the Connect button for the platform and confirm the permissions and terms and conditions, which will take you to the external platform to authorize the connection.
When you’re directed to Facebook there are two basic prompts to confirm, one is to access some basic information about your user (Name and Picture). The second is for permissions related to your ad account: manage ads, read content posted on the Page, and showing a list of pages you manage.
After confirming those permissions, all that’s left is to choose your Ad Account from the dropdown or Configure one.
Providing Disco Access to Your Meta Account
For us to confirm delivery of Audiences and see performance data regarding our supplied Audiences Disco needs to be provided access to your Meta account by adding us as a partner.
From within the Partners section of your Meta Business Manager, click the Add button and choose "Give a partner access to your assets" from the drop-down list.
Disco's Partner business ID is 331654344473633 and is what you'll enter into the field in the Add a new partner pop up that appears, shown below.
After clicking Next you'll be provided with some options of assets to share with, choose "co-op commerce" from the Ad accounts list and confirm.
That's the final step to ensuring we can confirm the delivery and performance of the Audiences we supply to Meta for you.
Refreshing Access Tokens
The access tokens we use to send Audiences to your Meta Business Manager refresh automatically when you use Audiences, but have a natural expiration of approximately 60 days.
If 60 days ever pass since your last Meta Audience request you’ll need too re-authorize your account for use with Audiences via a similar flow to the above (effectively just logging in once more to refresh our access token).
